The Bay of Islands, Peterborough, is the place to feel the majesty of the Southern Ocean as it meets the shore. This is the place to be at dusk. From the cliffs at sunset the colours of the dying day cause the sky, the cliffs and the hinterland to experience the different light of this magic time of day.
Features:
- as the name suggests, this is a bay and is best observed from atop the cliffs.
- there are two observation spots after a short walk from the car park.
- as the sun sets and the evening falls, the light changes and this is the spot for sunsets.
